iam working on a worm wheel job yet to be cut on gear hobbing machine. coustomer brought worm having 3 starts on it , i came out to knw it as 8 module using formula m=p/pi . but when iam mashing hob cutter(M=8) to worm its not meshing . But using hob cutter (m=7.5) meshing perfectly .why ? i use this pratice on 1 and 2 starts worm its work good but not 3,4,5 starts . is their any formula ,how should i complete my job work
