8's are good, very much like a beefier 7. Same good points and bad ones, except a little sturdier for cutting but a little heavier to set up. The biggest drawback to me for both is, for internals you lose stroke and it's a bit awkward with the cutter all the way across the part. But for externals, they're really nice.
