We're thinking of buying an old Barber Coleman 6-10 hobber. It would be a learning project on cutting our gears. My question is, can you mount the gear and bob and just push the "start" button and the machine will automatically keep feeding the hob in and then stop when finished? Or does someone have to continuously increase the feed like on a manual lathe?
