I am very interested in gear cutting for automotive use. I know it is a very specialist subject and can be very complex but im am prepared to give it a lot of time.
Do any of you experienced people out there have any advice or recomendations on a book or books that i should read as an introduction the this vast subject?
I am only 20, im going to University next year doing Motorsport Engineering and Design and Transmission is my biggest interest so maybe I will end up as a gearbox designer eventually.
I use machines such as lathes and millers every week and am quite compitent with them so I understand a lot of "engineering terms".
Thanks a lot for your time, Owain.
