Thanks Mark, for bringing this topic to everyone's attention.
These are strange times, when a venerable company like Cadillac Machinery disappears (not to mention others winding down). If we are talking about where the assets went, that info could be very important to folks in gear manufacturing.
For example, this forum sees many requests for machine manuals, important elements of an irreplaceable archive to manufacturing.
I'm wondering what became of Cadillac's extensive collection of OEM machinery manuals?
I'm hoping that, whoever has this valuable resource understands its importance to manufacturing and specifically to gear shops. One way or another, I hope people who need this information will be able to access it.
I'm more than happy to list notices of anyone who makes OEM manuals and documents available. Years ago, I started a small section in the FAQ for this purpose.
Whether you give it away or charge a price, it doesn't matter to me. I'll freely list any information that allows our community access to you and your vital information on gear manufacturing equipment.
With OEM companies stressed, merging, and disappearing, nothing seems more important than the preservation of documentation for millions of pieces of manufacturing equipment.
