A part like that should take about 5 minutes. You will spend alot more time learning so get someone to guide you through the purchase and the tooling and the operation of the machine or you will be spending many hours on it. Make sure you get the machine you need, not the one they just want you to buy. You will need index gears and cutting tools. A good source for cutters is Ash Gear. Sometimes they have used tools. Most of us gear shops have hundreds of them we may not be using.
