We develop a software for gear milling with a 5 axis milling machine. You can find a description of this software here (http://www.meshingwithgears.com/article4.html)
I distribute also a demo version of this software. This version allows to define any kind of gear (spur, helical, internal, bevel, spiral...) and to visualize it (with a VRML viewer) You can also output the 2D profile in a IGES or STEP file.
