Yep - Colin's asking for the right info. Sounds like a combination of odd angle, profile shift, maybe extra depth for finishing ops, and maybe even an odd module value. Maybe a transverse pitch/module? or circular pitch?

Have you tried rolling gear gauges or hob cutters in a sample gear? If you get a smooth roll, your gauge or hob is verrry close.

Good work with the angle. Again, if you're testing a smaller member, and there is a profile shift, the pitch line may not be near mid tooth. Did you do the machine proof test on the largest gear?
