Finish problem 6A Fellows shaper

Iam cutting a ratchet gear and the entrance face looks good but the exit side seems to be tearing. The depth of ratchet is .035, the diam of cutter is 3.78, the thickness of part is .250 . Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
