I am going to add a shaper to a cell. The internal splines are all under 2" diameter and the face is less than 2", class 5. There are only two set-ups for the entire family of parts. I was told last year that a 4AGS would be best, but then told elsewhere that that machine is too complicated. It appears that there is a scale that goes something like this: 7 series, 4AGS, 10-2, SH-180. I understand the basic differences in each machine, and it seems "you get what you pay for", but it looks like I could go from $3k to $130k. What criteria does one use to choose?
