help on hv 14 gearhobber please

Any body that can help me with a sykes hv 14 gear hobber?first time on the hob and want to cut a helical gear.I understand the principal of how the universal gearhobber should work but the sykes hv 14 isnt making any sense to me lol.please is there any wise words for me?
