The easiest thing to remember is that the Minor Diameter on an internal Gear is calculated the same as the outside diameter on an external gear. The Major diameter on an internal gear is calculated the same way as the minor diameter on an external gear.

You need to be carefull however of the interference issues desribed in the previous response.
