Dear Ron,

Sorry for my last message, the centre distance increment factor is -0.0000353 with helix angle of 17° 54’ 21” . Please make correction.

The helix angle of 17° 54’ 21” is calculated. Based on protractor it is measured as 14°.
( placing protractor axially along the face of the gear). I did not try to check it by mounting the gear on hobbing machine & I am working with a normal plane.

Pitch & Pressure Angle also did not measured. These are presumed. May be it is not correct.

The original gear set is developed by Toyo Engineering Corporation. They did not issue technical specification or drawing of gear set.

Please also explain the method of measuring base pitch.

Can you calculate specific helical job if I offer you ? What necessary things you will need from sample gear set. & how much you will charge?

My email address is complex@paknet.com.pk. Please reply on this address.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Stuart,
