To elaborate - Plunge cut to depth on center of the blank. Back out. Hob Shift 1X Axial Pitch. Plunge cut to depth. Back out. Hob Shift 2X Axial Pitch. Plunge cut to depth. Back out. Repeat as necessary.
For the sake of example, would doing this 5X positive Shift, and 5X negative Shift accomplish similarly as Tangential Feeding?
