Thanks for your offers to help. Much appreciated. We do have a manual but it seems to be a translation and is very vague in some arease and also has a few missing pages. We figured out the differential gear system and were able to come up with the gears using a Ratio calculator that I downloaded online. The problem was that a clutch has to be replaced on one of the differential shafts when hobbing helicals which is not mentioned in the manual. We managed to locate it and cut our first 15 degree helical yesterday. Now we need to figure out the hob speed and cutting speed for various angles, diameters, etc. Is there a formula or online calculator for this? Thank you.
