Its years since i used a 6A and don't believe you can, but a way around it (depending on the number of teeth in the job & the protrusion)was to grind away some of the teeth in the cutter leaving sufficient to cut the number of teeth required and no more,you then have to stop the cutter each time and wind back to the start position, this is ok if you are only doing a small batch of gears but not practical for a large batch.
