Tom,
Since Chaitanya asked about bevel gear cutting, how many different Oerlikon bevel gear cutting models are there? I would imagine spiral and straight cutting, but I'm just guessing...

Also, are the machines primarily different in size and calculation constants? IOW, could a single program be written to perform calculations for many different models?

I've been puzzled by the lack of information available for Oerlikon shared by the gearing community - maybe that is the question to start with - are there just so few machines in use or available?

Are the machines so simple to setup that required calculations are few?

Does an Oerlikon gear only mesh with another Oerlikon gear? That would indicate that Oerlikon uniquely defines their tooth geometry.

Chaitanya,

We need the model number for your machine to get to the specific manual you need. That should be on the machine somewhere or on your repair manual / wiring diagram at least.
