Hi Dimetap,
I calculated Pinion OD from BS ISO 23509:2006 pg47:
Pinion OD=dae1=(pinion pitch dia)+2 x pin addendum x cos(Pitch Angle)
Pinion OD = 3.685
[edit - I carelessly used 6.2 for DP instead of 6.25, so the OD shown will be a bit large]
Of course, this calculaed OD depends on pitch dia, addendum, and pitch angle as calculated by CPC-HYP in prior program steps.
Thanks again for steering me to ISO23509. That is the complete bevel specification, isn't it?
I didn't get the 2016 version, but considering that the specs for OD are basic, I don't imagine there were significant changes since 2006.
When I get time, I'll compare the other specs and make sure there aren't any surprises.
Thanks again!
